2. What data we process
Contact form: name, company, email, phone number, website address and an optional message.
Chat: the messages you write to the AI assistant on this site, and your contact details if you give them in the chat and ask us to contact you.
When you contact us by email or phone: your message and contact details.
Please do not write personal identity numbers, card details or health information in the form or the chat.
3. Why we process data and on what basis
We use the data to answer your request, to make an offer and to manage a possible customer relationship. Chat messages are only used to produce the answer.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, and steps prior to entering into a contract when you ask for an offer. We do not use the data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Cookies and tracking
On your first visit we ask whether you accept or reject cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we do not ask every time. This is strictly necessary and needs no consent.
Statistics cookies are only used if you accept them. At the moment the site uses no statistics service or other visitor tracking. If one is added, it will only run for visitors who accepted, and we will name the service here.
Fonts are served from our own server.
The chat only loads when you open it. In the chat you first see a start screen telling you that you are chatting with an AI and that your messages and IP address are sent to our server and to Anthropic's AI service, also outside the EU. The message field is disabled and no message is sent until you press Accept and start. Your IP address is processed on the chat server to prevent misuse, and only the messages are sent to Anthropic. The acceptance is not stored, so the screen appears again on your next visit. The chat uses no cookies and conversations are not stored.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
5. Who processes the data
We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Netlify: website hosting and receiving the contact form
- Anthropic: the AI that produces the chat answers
- Google (Gmail): the email inbox that receives contact requests and requests from the chat
We do not sell or share data for marketing.
6. Transfers outside the EU
Some service providers also process data outside the EU and EEA, for example in the United States. Transfers are protected with safeguards under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
We keep contact request data for as long as needed to answer the request and manage a possible customer relationship, and then delete it. Bookkeeping records are kept for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act. Chat conversations are not stored.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing and ask for processing to be restricted. Send your request to scalingnordic@gmail.com.
If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
